Potters Wood Methodist Church
Organisation
Being a small Church, we do not have sufficient resources to employ a Minister who is solely dedicated to Potters Wood. Instead, we share his services between several Churches. In this way, a whole group of Churches can benefit from the services of several Ministers.
We are part of the Kingswood Circuit, which is made up of Lawrence Hill, Bethesda, Summerhill, Speedwell, Kingswood, Made for Ever, Wesley Memorial, Longwell Green, Cock Road, Bitton, Hanham, Unity Oldland, as well as Potters Wood. Most of these Churches are located in the area depicted by the more detailed map of Kingswood
There is also a group of Local Preachers who are able to lead the service in any of our Churches when a Minister is not available. To back them up, there is also a number of Worship Leaders who help ease the workload. The net result is that we benefit from the teaching of a fair number of people and gain a wide appreciation of the Christian message
The Kingswood Circuit is part of the Bristol District, which is but one district of the Methodist Church in the United Kingdom. We have a vast range of resources we can draw on.
